Q: Who can participate in the Florida Department of Transportation's SchoolPool Program?
A: Families with students attending elementary, middle, and high schools in Palm Beach County and Martin County are eligible.

Q: I'm interested in starting a SchoolPool program at my school what should I do?

Q: Who should be involved in a SchoolPool program at my school?
A: Before a SchoolPool program officially starts at your school it's best to have the support of the school's administration and the PTA. South Florida Commuter Services will contact the school and get the process going for you.

Q: When is the best time to start a SchoolPool program at my school?

A: A SchoolPool program can start at any time; it's based on the needs/wants of the school. However, as often as possible, we try to launch a program at the beginning of a school year.

Q: How does my family sign-up to participate in the SchoolPool program at my school?
A: CLICK HERE to create an online profile or complete a registration form provided by your school's administration office. 

Q: What happens after I submit a SchoolPool registration form or create an online profile?
A: Once you've created an online profile or submitted a registration form to your school, South Florida Commuter Services will send you a list of families living in your area to carpool, bike, or walk to/from school with. Please allow 5 to 7 business days to receive your personalized information.

Q: Who will I be matched up with?
A: Your match list will contain other families that attend your child's school. The list will provide you with brief information on other families such as how to contact them and how they would like to travel to/from school.

Q: Once I've signed up with the SchoolPool program, how often does my family have to carpool, walk or bike to/from school?
A: In order to stay eligible for the program you must carpool, walk, or bike at least one day a week.

Q: How often does my family have to carpool in order to use the carpool lane?

A: You must carpool one day out of every week to use the lane.  Families are only allowed to use the carpool lane on days they are carpooling.
